Biography

I was born in the City of Rock Springs. Grew up there, graduated from Rock Springs High School. I received my bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming. After graduating I returned to Rock Springs to take on the family construction business.

One of my biggest passions has always been community service. We have to make the things around us better, to make ourselves better. We have to give back with all of our success. Currently I am the President of the Sweetwater Memorial Hospital Foundation and have served in that role for two years.

With my experience and my collection of groups that I have served with. I intend to enhance the community experience and bring all the different groups together. One of my core skills has always been bringing people together. Uniting Rock Springs to a common goal, will be my number one priority. When we are united and working together we are stronger.

Why I am Running

I have grown up calling Rock Springs my home. I want to make my home the best home it can be. People have asked me dozens of times, you are too young, why are you doing this now. I try and give everyone the same answer. I want to make Rock Springs better for me. When you are doing something for yourself, you work harder. It becomes personal.

All of the organizations I am a part of and my business colleagues. We all have this gap where a leader for Rock Springs is needed that can bring everyone together. I am that leader. I am going to push for more tourism, bring in good high-paying jobs, and increase development to hopefully lower housing costs.

Right now the city has an excellent foundation. There are good people working hard every day. Now they need someone with a vision to elevate Rock Springs to the next level. I hate when people tell me Rock Springs is terrible, or it's on some Facebook map as the worst place to live. That philosophy is unacceptable. Rock Springs is the best place to live, I wouldn't live anywhere else. Showing everyone else how great it is to live here is crucial to community happiness.

Top 3 Priorities

First is making the City of Rock Springs a community people want to call home. It drives me crazy when I ask a person how long they have lived here. "Oh 40 years. I just wanna go home to Virgina" How can someone live somewhere 40 years and not call it home. I want to push to change that mentality and give the entire community a reason to call Rock Springs home.

The second is a change in mentality at the City of Rock Springs offices. Every person working there works hard and does their job well. Now let's take that next step. The city provides services. We are a service industry. Let's give good customer service. I want the residents to be excited to come into the city building and meet our great people and know that we are there to help them.

Third and any elected official's most important role. Fiscal responsibility. We owe it to our constituents to spend their tax dollars wisely. To provide the best services they need. We have to maintain public safety, we have to make sure the streets are safe, and prioritizing those dollars, is crucial.

My resume speaks for itself. My goals are achievable and needed. I need your help to get to the office and make our home a better place.
