Biography
My name is Mike Schilt, I'm a 63 year resident of Laramie, WY. I've been married 36 years (same woman), we have 6 grown children that we home schooled. Retired from the University of Wyoming after 26 years (plus 14 years of prior jobs). I now have a small handyman business doing a variety of things, mostly for aged people and handicapped.We have 7 grandchildren and 2 on the way.
Experience
I've never been a school board member before.
Education
2 AAS degrees from Casper College.
Community Activities and Memberships
Been involved in 4-H as a leader for many years. Various christian churches and home fellowships.
Why I am Running
I'm concerned about the things I see going on in our nation regarding education and several people ask me too.
Top 3 Priorities
To represent the parents to the administration and faculty.
Simplify education to the basics and remove the indoctrination that has become the new norm.
To work with faculty and staff that that genuinely want to give children a solid education. Bring truth into the classroom.
