Why I am Running

I am mostly interested in volunteering as an effort to keep our little town a wonderful place to live and work. There are some things I would like to see improved. Some ideas I have include improvements with our town parks and the star on the mountain. I would like to see improvements with our road maintenance, especially with snow removal in the winter.

Top 3 Priorities

1) Safety: Supporting the police department as they do their part in keeping town citizens safe; Street lights; Safety measures in our parks; Snow removal for safe driving measures; Supporting the fire department for those times of emergency;

2) Infrastructure: Supporting the town maintenance department with everything from water lines to the sewer lagoons, vehicle and building maintenance, and everything in between.

3) Planning: With the growth in the valley, I feel it is important to plan wisely for the future by anticipating and preparing for increase in population and new construction. I would like to keep the small town feel in Afton without being too restrictive on inevitable growth. (By the way, I believe the planning and zoning committee has been doing a great job in this regard.)
