A County Attorney represents their county in a court of law. This may be as a defense lawyer in a suit against the county, or as a prosecutor against some other party. They also give legal advice to other county officials, so that they can properly carry out their jobs.
A County Attorney must have lots of experience with American law, and extensive knowledge of it. The County Attorney must also, at the time of his election, have passed the bar in Wyoming.
The County Attorney has a far reaching influence on their County. Not only do they represent their county in major cases, but they also give advice to other members of the county government that can influence their decisions and actions.
