Secretary of State

Wyoming Statute: Title 9, Chapter 1, Article 3
Responsibilities and Authority:

The Secretary of State is the custodian of the seal of Wyoming, as well as any records of the legislation of Wyoming and proclamations of the Governor. If these documents are needed, they also certify these documents so they can be properly used.

Experience and Skills:

The Secretary of State must be very organized because they deal with a lot of documents, some of which outdate Wyoming as a state. They also must be trustworthy, due to their custody over both these documents and the seal of Wyoming.

Impact on Citizens:

The Secretary of State preserves our history as Wyomingites. This history makes us who we are, and must be taken care of by the best person that we have to offer.
