Biography

I was born and raised on our family ranch in southwestern South Dakota. I graduated high school in Colome, SD. I then attended Mitchell Votech majoring in satellite communications. I then returned back to Winner, SD taking a position as a correctional officer for the Winner City Jail. The jail had multiple contracts and averaged 110 inmates. After several years I knew I wanted to further my career in law enforcement and took a position as Chief of Police in Isabel, SD. As time went by I wanted to pursue another passion of mine and started ranching in the Isabel Area. During this time I became very active in the local fire department and served for 6 years as Fire Chief. I returned back to law enforcement as a deputy sheriff for Dewey County in South Dakota. I also took on being the Dewey County Emergency Manager in addition to being a full time deputy. I was appointed Sheriff for Dewey County and served as Sheriff until we relocated to Lusk Wyoming in May of 2022.

Experience

I have had the privilege to have been involved in multiple first responders rolls, which has given me vast working experience in ensuring all agencies respond to an emergency as efferently as possible.
