Biography

I am a 5th generation monument maker and have lived in Fremont County since July of 2005. I am married and have 3 daughters in the district, each at a different school. I have never been active in politics or public office and am ready and willing to serve.

Experience

I do not have any school board experience but have served on other boards before. I was the president of the Rocky Mountain Monument Builders Association and have done volunteer work with Kiwanis and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been president of Bott Monument for over 17 years.

Education

Graduated from Morgan High School in Morgan, UT in 1996. I attended college at Weber State University where I played football, ran track and was the sports director of the radio station. I graduated Cum Laude with a Batchelor of Science in 2004 and was named the Outstanding Graduate of my college.

Community Activities and Memberships

I have been a member of Kiwanis but am no longer active. I have done work with our local veterans (whom I love) and have donated to cancer walks and numerous sports and school activities.

Why I am Running

I have three daughters in 3 separate schools in the district and simply wish to be involved. I have no qualms with the current board or its members and just a believer that change/fresh blood is a good thing. I do not plan on serving any more than one full term after this half term. I'm smart enough to know I don't have all the correct answers and another individual from the community should be afforded the opportunity to serve.

Top 3 Priorities

Focus on the family, focus on the family and focus on the family. Every decision should be considered with its effect upon parents and families. A strong school is nothing more than a reflection of the strength of our families and I want to help strengthen families with the decisions the board makes. It's as simple as that.
