Biography
J.R. is a 5th generation Wyoming native, growing up on the family ranches in Glendo. As a young adult he worked with the family business in Converse County and in the coal mines in Campbell County. J.R. was a Legislative Intern at the Wyoming Senate, Governor of Wyoming Boy's State, and represented Wyoming at Boy's Nation in Washington DC, where he met Ronald Reagan. Vice President George H.W. Bush appointed J.R. to the US Air Force Academy, where he earned a pilot training position and enjoying a memorable flying career leading Airmen. After 29 years of service as a pilot, commanding multiple combat units and flying in every major U.S. conflict since the Gulf War he retired as a full Colonel. J.R. then led the Air Force business unit at General Dynamics for several years, and now owns a Wyoming business providing Information Technology and Acquisition support services for the federal government, bringing dozens of well-paying jobs to the Cowboy State.

Why I am Running
With only one political party for all practical purposes, Wyoming GOP needs the voices of the mainstream reflected in its platform. I'm running to make sure those mainstream voices are represented at the precinct level so they can be properly reflected at the county and state levels. I have the time and the willingness to meet with and listen to all my neighbors in the precinct and productively shape goals and priorities for the party to preserve what is best in Wyoming, and improve the opportunities here for the generations that follow us.
