Biography
Originally from Buffalo, Joanna Settineri is a lifelong Wyoming resident and sixth generation Wyomingite. She currently resides in Cody with her husband and two children. In her spare time she enjoys running, gardening, painting, reading, and cooking.
Experience
Joanna currently works as the Database Administrator for Cody Regional Health, where she has worked in the Information Services department since 2014. Her job involves interface and automation programming, data analysis, and report generation. In addition to working in technology, Settineri also spent 5 years working as an EMT-Basic with Cody Regional Health Emergency Medical Services.
Education
Settineri holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming in Religious Studies and seven distinct certifications for Electronic Medical Records software management.
Community Activities and Memberships
Joanna frequently participates in community running and fitness events as well as the area Farmer's Market.
Why I am Running
I'm running for city council because I'd like to encourage more young Wyomingites to stay in Wyoming. I am a creative thinker who is good at finding solutions to complex problems. I have a background in financial data and am comfortable with large budgets. I am a hard worker with a good eye for detail, and I work well with others. Helping people is my passion and that is what I intend to do as a city councilperson.
Top 3 Priorities
My primary goal will be to listen to the needs of the people in my Ward, and the people of Cody. Second to that would be working closely with the City of Cody employees to find ways to maintain and improve our city within the bounds of our budget. Lastly, I'd like to find measurable ways to make it easier for young people to stay in Cody and build lives here.
