Why I am Running

I, Jon Fernandez am running for City Council Ward 1 seat because I care about the present and future in Green River. If elected I would help hold the government, contractors, and any direct association accountable for budgets and service. A major focus I will have is helping local businesses succeed. I really would like to help with all our citizens’ topics of concerns through the good and the challenging times we may face in the future. I would like the public to know that I am motivated and committed to give a fresh perspective to represent the people of Green River. I am a working ordinary citizen who is willing to learn, is always ambitious, with high energy and ready to serve the citizens of Green River.

Top 3 Priorities

-Maintenance (taking care of what we already established and fixing streets, structures, facilities, etc)
- Local Business ( providing strong support for our local business owners , addressing concerns. I would like another grocery store in town, building a system to let locals work together. Room for Growth.)
- Activities ( in a small town it is important to have activities for everyone. Strongly support things to do for our seniors, and youth. Having activities where the community can come together is extremely important to me.)
