Biography

My love of Wyoming started at a young age, fostered by my Uncle John Story of Dubois, and Grandfather Charles Jones Jr. of Riverton. I came home to Wyoming at 19 and could not be happier with that early choice. It led to me getting a Bachelors in Political Science, and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. Afterwards, I spent six years in Oil and Gas Research in partnership with the University. In my time here I discovered that every good thing my family taught me about Wyoming was true.

Experience

I hold a Bachelors in Political Science, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. Since actively entering politics in Wyoming I have been quite successful in passing legislation, testifying, and swaying votes on the hill. I was heavily involved in the Hunting Age Change, Game Road Kill, and Zebra Mussel Prevention in recent legislative cycles. As a resident I have been able to change laws, help citizens, and better our state. I greatly look forward to being able to

Why I am Running

I am running because I am tired of fixing things after they break. I have spent my life fixing things, helping people, and almost every time the problem originated from a lack of foresight. A perfect example is the Hunting Age Change bill. My Grandsons’ Birthday is in December, under the old wording of the law (hunters had to wait till their birth date itself to hunt) he would not of been able to hunt until next year (2023, when he turns 13), while his classmates, and other family members would be able to hunt this year. So, In the 2020 legislative session I worked with members of the legislature, members of Game and Fish, other conservation groups and lobbyists to change the law, to state children can hunt WITHIN THE YEAR they turn 12, under the updated law my grandson harvested a very nice black bear in his first spring hunt this year! Wyoming is my home, and I love this state, and its people. I want to be able to solve issues for my whole district.

Top 3 Priorities

- Comprehensive Fiscal Accountability, statewide.
- Innovative, encompassing business innovation, embracing all of Wyoming legacy.
- Tax base diversification, without drawing from taxpayers. No state income tax, against returning tax on food items.
