Biography

Currently, I am a full time rancher on a working cattle ranch, one of the remaining, in Teton County. I have years of courtroom experience which is very helpful as a member of the TCSD Board of Trustees.

My two sons graduated from Jackson Hole High School and my two grandchildren currently attend Davey Jackson Elementary School,
the fifth generation of the Mead/Hansen family to do so. I have been deeply involved in Teton County schools for 16 years, have attended the legislative session on behalf of TCSD many times, been involved in the Wyoming School Boards Association efforts on behalf of schools and I keep current on the issues facing education in our county, state and nation.

Experience

36 years as practicing attorney/litigator. 28 years in Wyoming, 8 in Maricopa County, Arizona.

16 years (4 terms) TCSD# 1 Board of Trustees (incumbent) Served as Chair, Vice Chair. Currently, member of Governance Committee and Finance Committee.

10 years elected director of Teton Conservation District.

2 years Teacher(English) Hebron Academy, Hebron, Maine.

Why I am Running

Having a high quality public education is critical to the welfare of our community and state. My experience and my institutional knowledge both from practicing law and being on the Board of Trustees make me uniquely qualified to continue on the TCSD Board of Trustees for another term.

Top 3 Priorities

Continuing the work to maintain TCSD as a premier school system in Wyoming and the nation.

Completing the work required to obtain state funding for the JHHS Addition and the Bronc Achievement Center and getting this critical infrastructure built for our students.

Continuing and completing teacher housing projects including but not limited to the 24 unit apartment building for which the voters of Teton County have provided special purpose excise tax.
