Biography

I’m a 25-year-old, who loves Jackson! I work as a Project Engineer for a well-known, local construction company.

In Jackson, I’ve been blessed to find some life-long friends, some epic locals, and a hidden community of what Jackson used to be. I’ve heard the stories of Jackson’s past where everyone knew everyone, the whole town turned out for Friday night football games, floating Flat Creek included a stop at Peggy’s place for some lemonade, kids skied Snow King before school, and doing donuts in the Rodeo Ground’s parking lot was innocent fun. That’s the Jackson I want to live in. Idyllic and authentic.

So who am I in this community? I’m a God-fearing church goer, a patriot, and a swing-dancing frequent at the Cowboy Bar. I keep a “CAT” hat on the dash of my 2002 Ford Ranger with an American flag in the passenger seat. I embrace what Jackson has to offer and I love the diverse local talents that define Jackson’s character.

Experience

As a Project Engineer for a local construction company, my skills for budget management & project organization have proven useful. It’s been eye-opening to dive into the Town of Jackson’s projected budget. Numbers say a lot about the operations of the Town, but the people say a lot about the character of the town. I've been heavily involved with the Teton County Republican Party, which has helped me gain knowledge of local politics and meet incredible locals who care deeply about Jackson.

Education

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Community Activities and Memberships

1. Active church member at Tribe JH.
2. State Committeewoman for the Teton County Republican Party.
3. Communication/Social Media Chair for the Teton County Republican Party.
4. Founder and Chair of the Common Sense Leadership PAC.

Why I am Running

I'm running to bring a fresh perspective to the Jackson Town Council. I believe our representative government flourishes when elected offices are a revolving door of new people with new ideas. I see running for local office as my civic duty - I'd like to get in, get stuff done, and get out.

Currently, I see Jackson as a town that's yearning for its western tradition, overlooking its housing availability, and overspending in the name of "helping". All of these issues are hurting the local, tax-paying community and business owners. I would like to give the power back to the community of Jackson to shape & uphold its western tradition, work with the available land we have for housing, and cut spending so we don't tax our working class out of Jackson.

Top 3 Priorities

1. Preserve Jackson's western heritage.

I want to keep & preserve the Rodeo & Fairgrounds in the heart of Jackson. These Grounds are a reminder of Jackson’s western heritage and are an essential area of public land used for countless events & activities. We have other spaces that can accommodate housing projects without losing a historical site.

2. Invest in common sense housing.

It's time we develop Northern South Park with affordable, high-density housing and affordable, single family homes for local families. Jackson needs another neighborhood to support the families who want to build their lives here - with some space to grow.

I would also like to reform the Town’s LDRs to give some control back to the private sector.

3. Balance the budget.

Our Town is projected to have a 6.5 million dollar deficit in the 2023 fiscal year. We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. I would like to cut spending so our government doesn't grow faster than our community.
