Biography

I was born in Casper and have lived in Natrona County my entire life. I own PC Transport, Inc. and have worked there since graduating high school in 1980. I have voted in every election since my first one in 1980, where I was proud to get the opportunity to vote for Ronald Regan. I still get chills when I listen to his old speeches. I am a true conservative, and live my life in a fiscally conservative manner. I became debt free when I was 29. Paying off my first house in just ten years. I am Married to a great lady, and my best friend Ruth. We each have three kids of our own, and we also have ten European daughters! Ruth and I have hosted foreign exchange students for the past nine years and have love getting to know our girls, and I personally taught every one of them to drive. I am an outdoors person and love to hunt and fish. I also am a pilot and have flown hang gliders since 1981, and even set some World distance Records back in the day.

Experience

I served as a Trustee on the NCSD school board for 8 years from 2012-2020. During that time I served as Chair for 2 years and chaired several committees. I also served on the Wyoming School board and on the WHSAA board. I also served on the Joint powers board and the Boces board during my tenure as a trustee. In addition to this service, my experience running a company suits me well for the job of helping to run the biggest employer in Natrona County

I am a certified flight instructor and hold certificates and ratings for single engine land and sea, Glider, Weight shift control, and Instrument. I also have life experience and wisdom years of running multiple business here in Wyoming.

Community Activities and Memberships

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and attend weekly. I donate most of my time there, and am assigned to administer to the young women of our stake.

Why I am Running

I have decided to run for the board to help rebuild the education's that were damaged from shutting our schools down from Covid. A few experienced board members that I greatly respect are retiring this year, and I feel that with my experience I could be of great benefit to the new board. I was serving on the board when Covid hit and I was an advocate for keeping our schools open and not wearing masks, as I was afraid that the negative consequences for the students was going to be far greater than we were being told. Hindsight tells me that I was right, and I would like to be a part of the difficult job of rebuilding their education.

Top 3 Priorities

1. The students. Get them the best education we can always remember their needs always come first.
2. The budget. I worked hard to cut waste while on the board and will continue to find ways to tighten our belts.
3. The staff. We need the best educators and administration possible and we also need to honer all of the classified employees that work so hard to serve our students.
