Why I am Running

I have been blessed with many opportunities by the state of Wyoming educationally, professionally and personally, I feel a strong desire to give back to the state. I want to take a voice of my rural district to Cheyenne. I feel many of the current legislators have lost sight of who the represent and are there to simply to echo some national agenda rather than to address the very real issues facing our state. The last session was a budget session, with only two requirements: the re-districting and the budget...instead they threw out recommendations made on re-districting made after public discussion across the state and didn't focus on the budget until the last minute and made no significant changes. They legislators spent the majority of their time arguing hot button national issues which caused much focus taken away from the fact they were not working on real problems facing the majority of Wyoming's people. They offered no solutions.
