Biography

I was born and raised in Kansas. Every summer we came to Wyoming to visit family in the Douglas and the Glenrock area. I have always loved the mountains and moving back to Wyoming for the summer of 1981 was supposed to be for the summer but ended up leading me to move here. I met my husband, who was my softball coach, that summer. We married and lived in Laramie while he finished his degree, and we had our first son. We moved to Douglas and then to Glenrock in 1984 where we had two more sons. Moving to Glenrock was a great move for us. I worked at First Southern Baptist Chapel in the daycare, volunteered, and then worked for the school district. Our sons were involved in wrestling, basketball, baseball, and football which kept us busy serving on different boards, committees, or coaching. We now have 12 grandchildren which spur us on to serve in any way we can. I love the Glenrock community and look for opportunities to serve.

Experience

I was on the board of the Glenrock Wrestling Club, Glenrock Booster Club, and the Casper Midget Football board for many years. I have been a trustee of the Glenrock Hospital District for the past four years and would love to continue. I am a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. When we go on mission trips for World Changers, I am a crew chief.

Education

I have two associate degrees in education and am working on my bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership.

Community Activities and Memberships

I was on the board of the Glenrock Wrestling Club, Glenrock Booster Club, and the Casper Midget Football board for many years. I was a literacy volunteer for over 25 years. I was able to help several people with their English acquisition or working to achieve their GED. I was the secretary for the Literacy Volunteers of Casper for many years.

Why I am Running

I love the Glenrock community and want to see that it has quality health care. I would love to continue on the board to serve our community.
