Biography

After years in leadership, consulting, and clinical roles at providers, consulting firms, and health IT vendors, Pat now focuses on improving how we work to use interoperability to improve patient care access across the continuum. In addition to my career, I am a mother, wife, and grandmother with many life experiences to assist me if elected to public service. She currently oversees the governance requirements and privacy concerns to improve patient care.

Experience

Pat is a leader, experienced project manager and registered nurse. These positions have allowed her to hone her skills in active listening, planning, collaboration with others, bringing diverse groups together to solve issues, organization, developing, completing large projects, managing budgets and growing people and their skill sets. All are necessary to be an effective leader, though active listening, collaboration and brining diverse groups together are the most important as a public leader.

Why I am Running

In my career and life experiences, I have always looked for opportunities to serve the community that I live in and those that are under served in that community. The council not only serves ALL in the community, but also should be looking out for those who do not have a voice. Being part of the town leadership, I will work as part of the team to bring forth issues, that not everyone wants to address or wants to see.

Top 3 Priorities

No matter what “top” items there are that need to be addressed, the Mayor and Council members must work as a team to get these and other issues addressed. If they are not a team, less will be accomplished.

- To begin with, I propose the next Town Council review the 2019 Comprehensive Plan for Guernsey, evaluate the completed items and prioritize those items that remain to produce an updated Comprehensive Plan for Guernsey.

- Priority goals to consider: the new rail spur in the industrial park expansion, housing and streets

- Next, expansion of the camping facilities at the golf course, and new sidewalks.
