I am Rita Geary and I strive to be an informed and involved citizen. I taught English at SHS for 15 years and subbed at SJHS and SHS for 19 years before that–I value education. My husband Tim and I raised four children here who have all become productive members of society, and I wish the same for all other Sheridan students. In addition, I am actively committed to community service in Sheridan.

I am a current Precinct Committeewoman for Precinct 2-4 and have served for four years. I regularly attend Precinct Committee meetings and local political events to stay informed.

I love the Sheridan community and work continually to make it better. Since local leaders decide the issues that shape community life, I want to be involved in local politics so I can make informed choices. I know many of my neighbors and am willing to help them be informed and involved as well.
