Biography

Robin is a life-long conservative and a Cody native. Her parents raised her to be a hard worker and taught her to always follow her passions.

Robin graduated from Cody High School in 2001. Halfway through earning her A.S. degree in Film Production, she was offered a job as a legal assistant. She accepted the job and quickly realized that her passion was in law. Robin immediately switched her degree and graduated with an A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies. She loved the fact that you never stop learning in the legal field, as it changes constantly. She has worked in the legal field for the majority of the last 19 years.

Robin married her childhood friend and fellow Cody native, Nick Martin (one of Cody's favorite mailmen.) They have two children, Aly and Connor, and a sweet French Bulldog puppy named Nacho. They are very driven to give back to their community and have been lucky enough to be a part of the Toys for Tots campaign in the Big Horn Basin for the past seven years.

Why I am Running

I am running for Clerk of District Court because I feel that it will be very beneficial to have someone with a legal background in the office. The legal world can be very confusing and having someone who understands the ins and outs of everything that is handled in the office will help to make the office more efficient for the citizens of Park County. It is important to have someone who can see the big picture and who understands why things are done the way they are. Having 19 years of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant gives me that insight that you can only learn by being involved in the legal world for an extended period of time. The citizens of park county will benefit from having a knowledgable staff that can assist them with their questions (although we can not give legal advise) without having to outsource them to another office. The citizens of Park County deserve to have the most knowledgable and efficient staff to assist them with any of the needs when dealing with the Clerk of District Court's office.

Top 3 Priorities

1. Ensure that the citizens of Park County are provided the highest level of assistance possible when dealing with the Clerk of District Court's office.
2. Collaborate with the staff in the Clerk of District Court's office to make sure everyone in the office is knowledgable and well-rounded in all subjects/tasks that are handled in the office.
3. Make the inevitable transition to an electronic case filing system in the District Court as smooth as possible when it makes its way to Park County. Robin has already worked with this system in both the Wyoming Federal and Appellate courts and has the knowledge to make its implementation an easier process for Park County.
