Why I am Running

Our public schools are one of our community's greatest treasures. I benefitted from my experience in SCSD2 as a student, see its impact on the community, and am an active parent– passionate about providing our kids every opportunity for an enriching education and future.

I value community, partnership, and collaboration. My approach to work and life is finding value in and embracing being part of a team. My greatest strengths and achievements are my ability to work well as part of a team to solve complex problems– I thrive in environments that require agility, collaboration, and the ability to observe, question, and think critically.

Schools are an experience, not a place. As an experience designer, parent, and member of this community, I feel a responsibility to be unified, innovative, and agile in supporting our teachers and caregivers and responding to what works best for our children.

Top 3 Priorities

Students– Provide our kids and community every opportunity for an enriching education by building programs and facilities that foster experiences and assemble the tools, support, and springboard to achieve any dream.

Educators– Excellence in the classroom is a standard, not a goal, and begins with excellent educators. Ensure that SCSD2 provides an environment of educational and personal growth for all our teachers.

Community– Actively cultivate supportive and respectful relationships between students, teachers, and caregivers. Fairness and equitability are keys to unlocking lifelong opportunities.
