Why I am Running

I desire completeness in the community that I live in. This means I want to live, work, send our child to school, attend church, volunteer, and participate in activities in Alpine. I have a vision of a whole, healthy, vibrant community, and, rather than sit on the sidelines, I want to be an active participant.

With the extensive changes that have occurred in the last several years, the next step for Alpine is a careful, thoughtful evaluation: what’s working well, what resources are being underutilized, where do we need to make course corrections. Having councilmembers with history will allow for a more nuanced and complete evaluation. Having the opportunity to currently serve on the Alpine Town Council, I am under no illusions of what the job involves and what time commitments are required. No empty campaign promises here.

Top 3 Priorities

Stability: take time to carefully evaluate recent changes, maximize on what's working, make course corrections where needed, and re-evaluate areas that are less effective.

Efficiency: continue to work with the newly hired Town Administrator to create workflow policies that allow Town Staff to work effectively and efficiently on daily operations and allow Town Council to focus on policy related issues.

Master Plan implementation: as the Master Plan enters it's final phases, strategically evaluate how and when actions steps are implemented.
