Ann Lucas (Republican)
House District 43 - - (195)
Biography
I was raised in a Democrat family in Illinois — a different world than Wyoming — and that experience reminds me daily that we must fight for every freedom we have, or we will lose it.
Pat and I moved to Cheyenne in 2002 for the good schools and wholesome, conservative culture. Pat retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service. I retired as EVP of a local credit union after 40 years in the financial industry. I hold a degree in Business Management and have dedicated my post-retirement years to educating our community on debt reduction and personal finance.
I served on the Board of Directors for COMEA homeless shelter and the Cheyenne Rotary After Hours Club. I was Treasurer of the Wyoming Jump$tart Organization for over ten years — setting our youth up for financial success.
I'm an accounting geek who understands budgets and taxes. I've proven I can and will deliver commonsense leadership for Wyoming.

Why I am Running
I am the elected representative and am running for reelection. I beat a twenty-year liberal incumbent in 2024 and hit the ground running from that point. I've been very actively involved in all facets of Wyoming politics. A self-starter, I have worked very hard for the people of Wyoming and have accomplished a lot. But, we're not done. I have a few priorities for this upcoming session, including Judiciary Transparency, protecting children and removing access to adult level sexual content in children's libraries, responsible approval and zoning of data centers, people's right to petition their government and more. I believe there is nothing the government does that you, the citizen, cannot see. Together, we can get there!
Top 3 Priorities
Judiciary Transparency, protecting children and removing access to adult level sexual content in children's libraries, responsible approval and zoning of data centers, people's right to petition their government, auditing government agencies, and reducing Residential Property Taxes.
