Biography
I was born and raised in Sheridan. I have been married for 26 years and we have one daughter. I graduated from SHS class of 1986. My grandmother, mother in law, and wife have or are currently teaching in SCSD2.
Experience
I have sat on several boards of local nonprofit organizations including Child Advocacy of the Bighorns (now Compass Center for Families) and Rooted in Wyoming.
Education
I graduated in 1986 from SHS, and attended Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming.
Community Activities and Memberships
I am a graduate of Leadership Sheridan County 2012, as well as a class co-leader 2013. I have been a Rotary International District 5440 Assistance District Governor 2012-2015. I am active in many of the local Masonic bodies and have held leadership chairs in most.
Why I am Running
We need to ensure that our students in SCSD2 continue to receive the highest quality education we can provide. Our students need to thrive and be successful as the grow from pre-K through their graduation. They need to be challenged and be allowed to express themselves in a healthy and safe educational environment.
Top 3 Priorities
My priorities are very simple;
Support our students.
All decisions must be student focused and to their benefit and success.
Support our staff.
Our staff, in order to succeed, must be challenged to grow and encouraged to stretch themselves in their own education.
Support our community.
Success in the classroom, leads to successful adults, which leads to a successful community. It all begins in the classroom with students who can thrive and grow.
