Biography

I grew up in Casper, the kid who just wanted to help. I figured I’d be a police officer—then my love of English and literature won out, and I became a teacher instead.

My parents shaped how I see this place. My mom worked for DFS and WIC and retired as a play therapist; my dad ran the youth crisis center. She taught me that no child is only their parents—every kid belongs to a community. He taught me that a community is only as strong as its weakest link, and that we owe our young people accountability, structure, and the steady reminder that they’re loved.

I love Casper for the parades, the fairs, and the small-town feel of one of Wyoming’s bigger towns. I’ve got two teenagers, and I want them to see a future here—to graduate, stay, and build on the foundation my parents helped lay.

What you’ll get from me is humor and an unwavering commitment to kids, especially when the deck is stacked against them.

Experience

I’m a career educator—from English teacher to school administration and student safety—with nearly three decades in Wyoming public schools. I’ve served on the Natrona County Juvenile Justice Board and Child Protection Team, given time to the Self Help Center, and spent nearly a decade as secretary of the Wyoming Soccer Association. University of Wyoming graduate, lifelong Casper resident, and someone who’s done the work right here at home.

Education

PhD in Education, with an emphasis in learning design and technology. University of Wyoming graduate. FEMA-trained in emergency management. My board experience runs deep and local: the Natrona County Juvenile Justice Board and Child Protection Team, the Self Help Center, and nearly a decade as secretary of the Wyoming Soccer Association—service rooted in keeping our county’s kids safe, supported, and set up to succeed.

Community Activities and Memberships

When I’m not working, I’m out in the community I love. I serve on the board of the Casper Water Ski Club, play intramural rec volleyball, and coach for WyoRanch. You’ll find me at the parades, the fairs, the fundraisers, and the everyday gatherings that hold a town together—a steady presence for local events and outreach. To me, community isn’t a slogan. It’s showing up, lending a hand, and being someone your neighbors can count on.

Why I am Running

I’m running because I believe Wyoming’s future should be decided by the people who actually live here.

I grew up in Casper, raised by parents who gave their lives to this community—my mom through DFS, WIC, and her work as a play therapist, my dad as director of the youth crisis center. They taught me two things I’ve never let go of: that every child belongs to a community, not just a household, and that a community is only as strong as its weakest link. Our job is to hold each other accountable, give real structure, and never let anyone forget they’re loved.

I’ve spent nearly three decades trying to live that out in our schools—as a teacher and an administrator, working to keep kids safe and ready for whatever comes next.

Now I’ve got two teenagers of my own, and I want what every Natrona County parent wants: a place where our kids can graduate, build a life, and choose to stay—not because they have to, but because there’s nowhere they’d rather be. My parents helped build that kind of place. I want to protect it and pass it on, stronger than I found it.

That means keeping decisions close to home, where neighbors answer to neighbors, and keeping our families and communities safe. It means standing up for Wyoming as it is—not remaking it into someplace else.

Top 3 Priorities

Local Control: The best decisions are made closest to the people who live with them. I’ll fight to keep authority over our schools, our land, and our daily lives here at home—with parents, neighbors, and local officials, not distant interests, deciding what’s right for Natrona County.

Public Safety: Safe schools, safe streets, and strong backing for the men and women who protect them. I’ve spent my career working to keep kids safe, and I’ll bring that same focus to supporting our law enforcement and first responders—because nothing else works if people don’t feel safe at home.

Real Property Tax Relief: Wyoming homeowners deserve real relief—not a shell game that shifts the burden onto renters, young families, and the next generation. I’ll work for honest, lasting relief that lets people stay in the homes they’ve worked for, without trading one tax bill for a bigger one down the road.
