During my first term in office, I have focused on supporting my staff, providing sound fiscal management, conducting safe and secure elections, and preserving and protecting our land records. I have worked hard to create a positive and supporting work environment for the staff in the Clerks office, while also building strong working relationships with local leaders and county departments. Top 3 Priorities
Election Integrity
Election integrity remains one of my top priorities. Our local elections office works diligently to stay informed on current election laws, and to ensure our elections are conducted in accordance with the Wyoming Election Code. My fresh perspective in the Elections office has provided me an opportunity to objectively evaluate the processes and procedures surrounding our local elections. Through this process, we continually work to improve and strengthen the security of our local elections.
Fiscal Management
One of my duties as County Clerk is providing management and oversight of the county budget and expenditures of the county. During my first term as County Clerk, I helped lead the implementation of new budgeting software to managing expenditures, capital projects, and improve transparency to citizens on how their tax dollars are being utilized. I have worked closely with other leaders and officials to build a strong team of financial professionals who work in collaboration to provide the county with sound fiscal management.
Safeguarding our public land records
Protecting and preserving our public land records and the rights of our property owners should be done with the highest level of care. When I entered office in 2023, I was tasked with completing the digitization process for our land records. I have taken a conservative and detailed approach to verifying the information on-line is authenticated and protected.
