Biography

I was born in Carbon County, I have lived in Fremont, Sweetwater, Teton and Sublette counties throughout my life. Wyoming is definitely home to me. I am married to a 5th generation Sublette County son of a rancher, and we raised 3 kids. One just graduated from LCCC in Cheyenne, one is a full time UW student at Laramie, and one is in Pinedale Elementary school going into the 3rd grade. I love the outdoors and all it has to offer. I rock hound, camp, fish, ski, hike, garden, and hunt. Through the years, I have worked in several different industries here in Wyoming. I spent 8 years working for United Express in Riverton as ground crew, ticket agent, and security (pre-9/11). I have worked in education as a teacher aid, as a property manager in a real estate office, as a teller and manager in the banking industry, as a payroll and AP clerk in the oil and gas field, and now in county government.

Experience

While my education background is in education, I have worked with finances in one capacity or another for at least 15 years. I joined the Sublette County Treasurer's office in 2015, and took office in 2019. In addition to working in the treasurer's office and working as the county treasurer, I have also spent some time working with Wyoming State legislators on changes to our state statutes.

Education

I graduated from Pinedale High School as the Co-Salutatorian in 1993. From there, I went to community college in both Riverton at Central Wyoming College and Rock Springs at Western Wyoming Community College. I graduated with an associates degree in 1999 from CWC. I then graduated from Dickinson State University with a Bachelor's degree in 2008.

Community Activities and Memberships

I am active in the community and have spent time on several boards. I was a board member for the Soroptimist group, I was a board member for the Children's Discovery Center Pre-school, I volunteer for the annual highway clean up, and am a member of the Sublette County Rock Hound group.

Why I am Running

I love Sublette County and her people. I also am among the fortunate in that I love my job and what I do for a living. When you love your job, it doesn't feel like work. It's a privilege to serve this community that has given so much to me. I look forward to continuing the work of the county, and I hope to continue to improve processes that can be challenging to my constituents.

Top 3 Priorities

I want to continue to offer superior service. I will continue to work with our legislators to keep registration costs from increasing. I will also be working with other local elected officials to create a county funded property tax relief program, so that we can continue to help those in our county who need a little help.
