Eric Scott is a small business owner and third generation resident of Gillette. He graduated from Campbell County High School in 2005 and attended college out of state earning degrees in Health Science and Business Management. Eric has been married to his wife Mikel for 12 years, together they are raising two daughters. He is committed to fostering safe neighborhoods, improving local infrastructure and ensuring fiscal responsibility in our city government. In his leisure time Eric enjoys skiing, fishing and hunting the Big Horn Mountains.

Professionally, I bring 7 years of hands-on experience in construction management and business ownership. As a building contractor, I understands how to manage complex budgets, streamline regulatory approvals, and complete critical projects safely, on time, and within budget. This background equips me with the practical skills needed to oversee municipal spending and optimize our city's capital improvements.

I am running for City Council to bring a builder’s perspective to local government. We need practical, sensible solutions to expand our local housing options, maintain infrastructure, and ensure every dollar of taxpayer money is spent responsibly.

I am not here to push a political or personal agenda, I am here for public service. I am here to make decisions based what is best for the people I represent.

The integrity of political candidates should be examined and not influenced by out of state organizations. Common sense government and local values will ensure Gillette will continue to prosper. Gillette needs steady, practical leadership focused on accountability, transparency, and long‑term stability.

Housing and Building:

- Work directly with contractors, developers and city departments and officials to streamline the process through resolution and zoning ordinances
- Explore grant opportunities for housing (elderly and veterans) to finance construction or utility extensions
- Accelerate the process for residential and commercial permitting approval

Maintaining Infrastructure:

- Continue to save and plan accordingly for large projects (Gurley Overpass)
- Funding our essential services (utilities and public safety)
- Maintaining our streets and roads

Planning for the future:

- Diversify Gillette’s economy
- Support the 1% tax
- Help fund our non-profit organizations
