Glenn Drummond (Republican)
County Commissioner - - (391)
Biography
I was born in Buffalo and raised in Sheridan. After nearly 20 years working in Colorado, my wife, Genny, and I returned home in 2025 to be closer to family, grow our business, and serve the community that shaped us. We met at 16, married at 21, and Wyoming has always been home. The conservative values we learned here, hard work, personal responsibility, family, limited government, and service, still guide us today.
Experience
I bring more than two decades of private sector experience in management, budgeting, accounting, natural gas field operations, grocery management, diesel shop service management, and construction project management. As a former Basalt Town Council member in Colorado, I worked directly on public budgeting, land use, infrastructure planning, emergency management response, and community priorities. That experience reinforced my belief that local government should respect taxpayers, protect private
Education
My training comes from firsthand leadership in operations, budgeting, accounting, management, and project oversight across multiple industries. I have also completed elected leadership training, and served in local government, strengthening my commitment to conservative, common-sense governance, transparent decision making, and responsible spending.
Community Activities and Memberships
I stay connected to Sheridan County’s families, ranchers, small business owners, seniors, veterans, and community organizations. My public service includes local government work, community focused committees, and regional boards. I believe strong families, strong local businesses, service, and individual responsibility, not bigger government are the foundation of a strong county.
Why I am Running
I am running for Sheridan County Commissioner to bring accountable, conservative leadership to county government. As Sheridan County grows, we need leaders who listen, defend private property rights, protect our rural character, support law enforcement, public safety, and respect the taxpayers who fund county government. I want to help keep Sheridan County a place where families can live, work, raise children, build businesses, and retire with dignity without losing the Wyoming values that make this place special.
Top 3 Priorities
1. Protect private property and responsible growth
Sheridan County needs thoughtful planning that, defend private property rights balances growth with the preservation of our rural character, open spaces, agricultural heritage, and quality of life.
2. Fiscal accountability and taxpayer transparency
County government should be clear, responsible, and accountable with taxpayer dollars, with budgeting decisions that prioritize essential services and long-term value.
3. Supporting youth, families, and seniors
A strong county supports residents at every stage of life, including young people, working families, seniors, veterans, and those who rely on dependable community services.
