I was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD, oldest of 3 girls. I graduated from Northern State University with a degree in Administrative Systems in 1984. I moved to Gillette in 1989, where I began work at First National Bank. I have two children, ages 34 and 32 and two grandchildren, ages 8 and 11. My children and grandchildren live in Gillette, where they continue to thrive. I am the executive director for Gillette College Foundation, beginning January 2014. I earned my master's degree in nonprofit management from Regis University in 2020. I am a 2019 graduate of Leadership WY and a 2025 graduate of the Wyoming Academy. I was elected to Gillette City Council in 2022. I am active in the Wyoming Association of Municipalities, Gillette Chamber Singers, and was recently appointed to the Campbell County Fireboard. I served on the Campbell County Land Board for 3 years beginning in 2019 and the Wyoming NonProfit Network Board for 5 years as well.

I am currently serving a four year term with the Gillette City Council. During that time, I have attended all but one WAM conferences, have attended local NEWY meetings for area municipalities, and have attended many workshops and forums to continually educate myself on the issues for municipalities around the State of WY.

I have a undergraduate degree in Administrative Systems and Master's degree in Nonprofit Management. I graduated from Leadership WY in 2019 and the Wyoming Academy in 2025. I have attended 7 of the 8 WAM conferences since I was elected and several area meetings with other municipalities in NE WY.

I am a member of the Gillette Chamber Singers, an auditioned choir, in which I serve as the Soprano Section Leader and Secretary. I am a member of the WY Nonprofit Network, and served as a board member and vice president for a period of 5 years.

I am running for re-election because I care deeply about our community. During my time on council, the nuclear industry has been a high priority. I support the nuclear industry, in particular BWXT. I also support economic development, smart infrastructure investment, and place making amenities that make our community a great place to live, work and raise families. I believe we need to continue to support a business-friendly environment and diversification. If we want our young people to stay in WY, we need to provide jobs and housing for them. As Gillette continues to grow, it will be imperative to ensure we have the infrastructure in place to accommodate new business, as well as existing business. I believe we need to support our fire and police departments and ensure they have the funding and resources they need to do their jobs. I want our City to thrive, not survive. If we stay stagnant, we will be moving backwards and this will not help us attract or retain our citizens. I also support the work of our nonprofits in the community. They provide vital services and it is important that as a City, we support them as they can provide services much more effectively and efficiently than a local government can.

My top 3 priorities are:

Look for opportunities to increase housing inventory in Gillette that is affordable. Evaluate models in other communities that have been successful and work with city staff and local developers to see what makes sense for Gillette.

Replace the Gurley Overpass. The Council has approved to replace the bridge. The next step is to evaluate designs and determine which one makes the most sense for our community, while evaluating costs. Continue to set aside funds for the replacement and evaluate grant opportunities as well.

Continue to support public safety. We must ensure that the police department and fire department have the resources they need to keep our community safe.
