Biography

I am a naturalized Citizen. My parents were immigrants and lived in Washington DC. My siblings were born here and became Citizens by Birth. On the other hand I was conceived by my parents in DC but born in Manila, Philippines so basically I was made in USA. I immigrated here in 2002 and lived in Las Vegas then got married in 2007 with my wife who lived in Cheyenne and became a citizen in 2012. I fell in love with Wyoming which I call home with the wide open space and way of life. My wife and I have 10 kids between ourselves and 23 grandchildren. Half of them live in Wyoming and the other half live in other states. Two of our children and 2 of our grandchildren live in Australia. I love animals and we have 2 dogs and 2 cats who we love dearly.

Experience

My work experience is extensive. I started working in a bank for. I went to real estate and into building homes as a contractor. I operated a gasoline station. I worked for both Manufactures life of Canada and New York Life as an insurance agent. In Las Vegas I was a District Manager for AT&T that was responsible for a dozen stores and managing at least 30 people. In moving to Cheyenne I was in retail management before going to Wyoming Tribune Eagle. Currently I am a Benefits Adviser for Aflac.

Education

I have a Bachelors Degree in Management Financial Institution from De La Salle University. I had military training with the Navy. I took courses for Tom Hopkins and Dale Carnegie.

Community Activities and Memberships

I am a member of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce managing our business Flying Mari Roger as a business member of the Chamber. I am also part of the Red Carpet Committee of the Chamber that welcomes new members at ribbon cuttings. I am a past member of the Cheyenne Rotary after hours Club. I am a member of the Committee of Housing and Community Development for 7 years and Committee of Transit Advisory for 3 years. I am a member of the Cheyenne Knights of Columbus 801 for 8 years.

Why I am Running

I am running because of my desire to serve and to follow what our constituents want as I represent them. It has been what I have been doing for years as a member of 2 committees appointed by the mayor. Also as a member of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and being a past member of the Cheyenne Rotary after hours and as a Knights of Columbus member. I want to improve the life of our constituents and leave a better community for both my children and grandchildren. I am most qualified not only because of my community involvement but as a member of the various committees that I was appointed both by Mayor Orr and Mayor Collins. None of the 8 other candidates have the same experience that I have with the 2 different committees. I would take it as a practice in becoming a member of the city council learning from the city council representatives through the years. I am more than ready to tackle the job as your city council member.

Top 3 Priorities

Data Centers- a moratorium which will mean a slow expansion until long term community impacts are fully understood while negotiating stronger local benefits from incoming carriers.
Local Economy- Create jobs and support small businesses with incentives for employers that hire Cheyenne residents
Power Rates- Fight for lower rates by giving residents more options through choice gas
Annexation- protect residents affected by city annexation through clear grandfathering clauses.
