Why I am Running
I am running for the Wyoming State Senate because I believe Wyoming deserves practical, thoughtful leadership that puts people before politics. As a surgeon, small business owner, educator, and father, I solve complex problems every day by listening carefully, studying the facts, and bringing people together to find solutions. That is the same approach I will bring to the Legislature.
Wyoming invested in my education through the WWAMI medical program, and after training at Stanford and Harvard, I chose to come home because I wanted to give back to the state that gave me so much. I want future generations to have the same opportunity to build successful lives here.
My priorities include making healthcare more affordable and accessible, strengthening public education and workforce training, supporting Wyoming businesses and our energy economy, protecting our public lands, improving housing affordability, and creating opportunities that encourage young people to stay in or return to Wyoming after their education. I believe in transparent government, fiscal responsibility, and finding common-sense solutions through collaboration rather than partisan division.
I am running because I love Wyoming, I believe in its future, and I want to help ensure that our children and grandchildren can build their futures here just as I have.
Top 3 Priorities
1. Affordable, Accessible Healthcare: As a practicing surgeon, I see firsthand the challenges Wyoming families face in accessing quality healthcare. I will work to strengthen our healthcare workforce, improve access in rural communities, support physicians, nurses, EMS, and hospitals, and ensure Wyoming wisely invests Rural Health Transformation funding to build a sustainable healthcare system for future generations.
2. Education, Workforce Development, and Keeping Young People in Wyoming: Wyoming's greatest resource is its people. We must invest in strong public schools, community colleges, vocational training, apprenticeships, and the University of Wyoming while creating partnerships with industry that prepare students for good-paying careers. I also support initiatives that improve housing affordability and create opportunities that encourage young people to build their futures here rather than leaving the state.
3. Responsible Stewardship of Wyoming: Wyoming's future depends on balancing economic opportunity with preservation of our way of life. I support responsible development of our energy, agriculture, and mineral industries while protecting our public lands, water resources, and outdoor heritage. I believe in fiscal responsibility, transparent government, and practical, bipartisan problem-solving that puts Wyoming citizens ahead of politics.
