Biography

From 1978 through 2013, I worked for the USDA Forest Service as a forester, recreation specialist, special uses manager, rangeland manager, abandoned mine lands manager, and planning staff officer. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1980 from Oklahoma State University. My education continues via on-line course work in urban planning, municipal planning and municipal budgeting. Since retiring from the Forest Service in May of 2013, I have been involved in various community service organizations including Tongue River Valley Community Center working with programs for young girls and a short stint with CHAPS. I am a member of the Dayton School Benefit Club. I volunteered on the Dayton Town Planning Committee and the TRVCC Executive Board. In April 2015, I was selected to fill the vacant council seat when Norm Anderson was voted in as Mayor. In 2018, I ran for council and won by ONE VOTE. After serving on Council, I've volunteered in various town positions.

I will work to support a comprehensive vision for Dayton, maintain and improve our infrastructure through long-term planning, and safeguard the financial integrity of our town government. My goal is simple: make decisions that serve today's residents while leaving Dayton stronger for future generations.
