I have a diverse background in multiple areas of employment and volunteerism. My current employer of 18 years is an accounting firm and I have the privilege to serve and work with the elderly population on a daily basis. While working for the Lusk Hospital, I wrote and reported on all Workforce Development grants that were used to get the hospital re-opened. In addition, I wrote and reported on the same grants for my accounting firm. I am a dedicated & self-motivated employee.

The greatest majority of us will experience aging and the need to utilize services for the aging at some time in our lives, whether for ourselves, a family member or friend. Personally, I assisted in the care of our parents and sister as they all suffered from terminal illness. I saw first-hand how the lack of these services (they lived in Montana) impacted the quality of their lives. This has spurred me to act instead of sitting back and waiting for others to take charge. My feeling is we should be defined by how well we care for the youngest members of society and the oldest. It is important to offer services that keep our elders living independently and well in their homes. Support may look like transportation, social interaction, meals, activities, home health and housekeeping services as well as wellness/fitness programs. As a taxpayer, I feel this is a good use of our tax dollars, and I wish to assist in the implementation of this program.

To establish the by-laws and organization of the board according to state statutes
To fairly evaluate all grant applicants to see which demonstrate the greatest need/value for the aging poulation
To exercise transparency to the public and help them to understand the value of this District
