Why I am Running
I am simply a neighbor who agreed to step up. I watched the Council of 2018-2020 and believed we could do a better job of governing with civility. I felt communication was lacking between the Council and our citizens. I am running for a second term in order to finish some of the projects we have begun. I would also like to use my recent knowledge and experience gained during my first term on behalf of Ward #3.
Top 3 Priorities
My top 3 priorities are:
1. Responsiblity: I believe we must take care of the areas required by WY State Statute first and foremost. We need to insure that our citizens are given the choice for amenities and items above and beyond what we are required to provide through 6th penny sales tax ballots. We must be able to maintain whatever we build or purchase. We also need to make sure that our employees competitive wages and benefits.
2. Infrastructure: I believe that our streets, curbs and gutters need to be maintained as one of our largest investments. This includes infrastructure for a safe water supply. Water may be our limiting factor to future growth and must be protected.
3. Public Safety: As our community grows we need to be able to provide adequate fire and police protection. Planning ahead for future growth and making sure that we are able to respond quickly and effectively will continue to be a challenge.
