I'm Rah Reinholz and I am running for House district 17. I come from a long line of strong Wyomingites who have created a beautiful lives in this wonderful state. I was raised in Uinta county and moved to Rock Springs over 12 years ago. I'm a blue collar worker like many Wyomingites. I married my high school sweetheart and we have built a life in Rock Springs. I truly love Wyoming and want to stay here, but have felt the pressure of rising prices, lack of healthcare, and low job growth opportunities. 2/3 of our youth leave before they reach 25 as they feel this squeeze. I believe that the State has a duty to the people of Wyoming to make a continued effort to increase the quality of life and affordability for its citizens, and legislators must echo the concerns of the constituents.

I have worked as an election judge many times. I have served as a Sweetwater County Democratic Delegate. I do not come from a long list of tiles and political power but as a working class Wyomingite.

I am a current student at Western Wyoming College

I have been active in local theater projects, LGBTQ+ education, and volunteering with Nonprofits.

The Wyoming I was raised has changed and not all for the better. Our state has adopted national agendas led by wealthy elites and out of state corporations and have declared war on our way of life, forcing two thirds of our youth to flee while they make massive profits of our land and labor. Our state now leads the nation in suicide rates while lacking basic mental health services, even basic healthcare falls behind forcing travel or permeant relocation . Our extraction industries have carried Wyoming for generations and through no fault of their own face decline while corporate giants skip out on their fair share. I'm running to protect individual liberty and restore common sense Wyomingite principles that our communities and our freedoms come first. Our 100 year old tax code lets big corporations off the hook, while families battle healthcare costs, housing shortages, and job scarcity. That's not the Wyoming way. I support a modest corporate tax on large businesses, not our small local business, to keep more money in real Wyomingites pockets. A new revenue for mental health clinics, infrastructure, childcare, and building the Equality State into a place where our kids choose to stay and thrive. It's time to put Wyoming families first. Together we'll forge a growing, thriving future right here at home. I stand with the working people of Wyoming and will fight for a future Wyomingites deserve.

Accessible Healthcare) it must be affordable and decided by only the individual and their physician. Many unable to seek care must leave the state to find affordable options. Limited private options in insurance creates high premiums meaning many must go without insurance leaving a vast number of ranchers, small business owners, waitresses, part time workers and many others uninsured. We must expand Medicaid to care for Wyomingites and work towards healthcare for all.

Resources must be management) Our natural resources should be managed by Wyomingites for our best interest; this includes restricting foreign owned resource extraction and increasing the revenue they contribute to the state. Coal and Oil must continue to be supported as our foundation. Wind, Solar and Nuclear are quickly being adapted and we must expand our sectors of energy production to maintain dominance in the field. Responsible use of our land, water, and air must come before corporate greed.

Retaining and supporting our youth) Our youth are the most valuable resource; they are the foundation for Wyoming's future. The loss of our youth is damaging to our Wyoming communities and the economy. People leave the state due to a structural economic mismatch. A diploma buys you far less income here than in neighboring states and we lack s Providing a well funded education, support services, and an expanding competitive job market is the key to creating a thriving Wyoming for our future.
