Why I am Running
My knowledge, experience and community involvement as someone who speaks up and works with others will provide valuable input during our next legislative session. I would like to serve on the Labor, Health and Social Services Committee working on healthcare reform to lower costs and improve care. I would also like to serve on the Management Audit Committee which has the charge of making sure statutes are being followed and our money is being spent as intended. I want to be the taxpayers "watchdog."
Top 3 Priorities
Fix healthcare by giving Wyomingites the right to choose the health insurance that best fits their needs. Working with our Congressional delegation to repeal the not so affordable health care act otherwise know as Obamacare. Promote Association Health Plan that give small businesses in the same industry the ability to negotiate lower rates and better coverage for owners, their families and their workers.
Reform our tax system focusing on sales taxes and reducing or eliminating residential property taxes. The most unfair tax of all because most homes do not produce income; just expenses.
Take a deep dive into the state budget. Are we getting our money's worth; especially when looking at the results of our public education system? Every student should have the opportunity to succeed and that is not happening. Give parents the choice of education that works best for their children and give parents transparency in what is being taught.
