I currently serve as the Mayor for the Town of Star Valley Ranch. I was first elected as a member of the Town Council in 2022. Prior to my election to the Council, I was a member of the Town’s Natural Resources Board. My husband and I have been homeowners at the Ranch since 2009 and we live here in this beautiful place year-round. I love the outdoors, am an avid gardener, mom, and grandmother. I’m also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Professionally, I have spent over 25-years working in program management and cost analysis for the Federal Government to include serving in a leadership role for an organization of more than 160 people. I retired from civil service in 2025 and currently I still provide some part-time cost analysis consulting to the Federal Government. My professional background makes me well-qualified to continue serving our Town as Mayor.

Why am I running to continue serving as your mayor for the next four-years? My reasons are two-fold. First, I would very much like to see the many projects undertaken since I took office — improving roads, rebuilding water infrastructure, et al — through to fruition. Second, I would be honored and humbled to continue my service to the residents of our Town should you choose to return me to office. If re-elected to serve as your mayor, I will work to ensure decisions made by our Town government reflect the desires of residents and are in the best interest of Star Valley Ranch. Overwhelmingly residents continue to voice their desire to see improvements made to Ranch roads (during all seasons). Residents also express frustration with the problem of dust on our unimproved roads, a problem that will only truly be mitigated once those gravel surfaces becoming asphalt or chip-seal. In the interim, the Town will continue to implement dust-abatement measures to the best of our ability. As long as I am able to serve as your mayor, I will do my utmost to obtain additional resources for our Town to bolster our limited annual budget. While we continue our efforts to obtain additional funds, we’ll continue working under the mantra I learned while serving in the Marine Corps many years ago — the Town shall continue to do more with less.

1) My number one priority is to maintain our Town water system, thereby ensuring residents continue to receive safe, affordable, and sustainable drinking water.

2) My second priority is to continue to improve town road surfaces and implement road repairs. Over the years our Town roads have not been maintained well and many have fallen into disrepair. Since becoming Mayor we have embarked on an ambitious plan to improve many of our gravel road surfaces to chip-seal by purchasing our own paving equipment; the latter has already enabled us to upgrade nearly 3 miles of local roads from gravel to chip-seal over the past 18 months. The Town has also appropriated funding in the current fiscal year to work on many of our gravel roadways with the aim to improve drainage and add road base to rehabilitate road surfaces. Road improvements are a long term priority that will take dedicated and strong leadership to implement - I am up to the task.

3) My third priority is maintaining open communications and public meeting access. Over the past 18 months we have vastly upgraded our meeting recording capabilities and now livestream and record all Town meetings (to include volunteer board meetings). All livestream videos are also posted to the Town’s YouTube page. These A/V improvements promote transparency in government and enable greater access for residents to follow municipal decision-making. This practice will continue as long as I have the privilege to serve as Mayor.
