Biography
Eleven years ago, my family moved to Laramie, and we fell in love with this incredible community immediately. As a proud parent of three boys- two who have successfully graduated from Laramie High School and one who is currently attending middle school in the district- I have a deep, personal stake in the success of our public education system. I have watched my children thrive here, and I am running for the School Board to ensure every family in our community has access to the same opportunities and supportive educational experience that we had. As a local business owner alongside my husband, I understand what it takes to manage budgets, solve complex problems, and bring people together. Beyond helping with our business, I dedicate my time to managing our local properties, volunteering within the community, and caring for my family. Running a business and volunteering has kept me closely connected to our community, while giving me real-world experience managing budgets ad everyday
Experience
My experience began and Eaton Elementary PTA President (2010-12) and a youth baseball, soccer and basketball coach. Expanding into leadership, I served on the Open School Board (2016-21) including three years as President. I then led the LHS Football Booster Club (2021-24) and founded TEAM in 2022. Currently I serve as a Tele-Hope board member, Soroptimist member (President 2025-26), and Jackalope track coach, bringing years of dedicated advocacy to our community.
Education
In 2006, I earned my Associate of Applied Science degree and went on to get certified in Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, CNA, and First Aid. Working in healthcare means you have to be organized, follow safety protocols, and love helping people. I plan to bring that same caring, detail-oriented approach to the school board to keep our kids safe and our schools thriving.
Community Activities and Memberships
My civic involvement spans 15 years of dedicated leadership, 11 in Laramie. In education, I served as Eaton Elementary PTA President, and Open School Board President. Supporting youth development, I have coached baseball, soccer, basketball, and track, and founded the nonprofit REAM in 2022. My active civic roles include serving as Laramie High School Football Booster Club President, a Tele-Hope board member, and Soroptimist President.
Why I am Running
Over the past decade, our school district has faced a series of incredibly difficult challenges that forced our leadership to make some very tough choices. Many of these decisions drew heavy public scrutiny, sparking intense debates across our community. Like many parents, I wanted to understand the reasoning behind these actions, so I began digging deeper to educate myself on the issues facing our schools. What I quickly realized is just how complex district governance is. There are countless operational, financial, and regulatory layers to these decisions that simply are not visible at first glance Navigating these intricacies requires leaders who are willing to do the hard work of listening, researching, and understanding all sides of an issue before casting a vote. My decision to run comes down to a core belief: if you see room for improvement, or if you believe you awn make a meaningful difference, you do not watch from the sidelines. Real change does not happen through complaints or passive observation; it happens with citizens step up, get involved, and bring practical solutions to the table. I am running to be an active, transparent voice for Laramie families. I want to bring my experience to help bridge the gap between our administration and our community. By fostering better communication and focusing on collaborative problem-solving, we can navigate the tough calls ahead together and ensure our district delivers the absolute best education for our students
Top 3 Priorities
Should I be elected, my work on the School Board will be driven by three core priorities: protecting student opportunities, strengthening our local voice, and supporting our educators. First, our kids deserve a well-rounded education. As we fae tightening budget constraints at the state level, my top priority will be finding creative, collaborative solutions to protect the programs that keep students engaged. I am fully committed to exploring innovated funding models and community partnerships to ensure our electives, arts, and extracurricular activities remain vibrant parts of the student experience. Second, we must bridge the gap between local news an state-level policy. I want to empower our community by showing how much our votes matter when electing state officials. For too long, top-down mandates have chipped away at our community’s ability to govern itself. I will fight to bring decision-making autonomy back tour local school district, ensuring the people who know our children eat are the ones steering their education. Finally, our schools are only as strong as the people inside them. I will fiercely advocate for our teachers, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and genuinely supported by the board. This means actively listening to their concerns and fighting to secure the daily supplies, classroom tools, and resources they need to teach effectively. When our educators succeed, our students succeed.
